When will I be able to begin using the software?

Monday–Friday Orders received by 5:00 p.m. Central Time will be emailed the same day.

 Orders received after 5:00 p.m. Central Time will be emailed no later than 10 a.m. the next day.

Saturday–Sunday Orders received by 3:00 p.m. Central Time will be emailed the same day.

  Orders received after 3:00 p.m. Central Time will be emailed no later than noon the next day.

Holidays Orders received on the following holidays in 2026 will be emailed the next day.

Easter 5 April

Memorial Day 25 May

Independence Day 3 July

Thanksgiving holidays 26 and 27 November

Christmas holidays 24 and 25 December

*Delivery may take longer during exceptionally busy periods, such as immediately following the announcement of a new release.

How will I receive the download site and Activation Key?

When you order Stata software with the electronic download delivery option, you will receive two emails. Both emails will be sent within one (1) day.

The first email confirms we received your order.

The second email confirms your order has been successfully processed and provides a site for downloading Stata software, your License and Activation Key, and your invoice. You may now activate your license and use Stata.
